MIA Bruhaus creates Canistel Beer for 2023 Holidays
When MIA Bruhaus founder Eddie Leon learned about canistel, he was curious about how it might taste in a beer. We didn't have an outlet for the canistel that fell on the ground before we could pick it, so it would simply rot in the ground.
We brought him some of the ground fruit, and he brewed it into a berliner beer with pineapple added, just in time for the holidays in December 2023. The beer is called "Pouteria y Pina" (Canistel and Pineapple).

Cigar City Brewing created a British-style Imperial Stout using eggfruit called "Digital Dissolution" in partnership with Bottle Logic Brewing in California. We're not sure about the origin of this beer, but it might be the first canistel beer ever!
